Styled Fall Session

I have been trying to push myself to shoot out of the box and also make sure I am doing sessions just for me. My gorgeous sister in law Ayla was willing to be my muse, let me dress her all up and roll around in the soot and dirt for me. This session didn't turn out quite as I had imagined in my head, but I think it's important to go with the flow and let the session create it's self and I think lots of the shots turned out even better then I imagined! I think with other blogs, Tumblr, Pinterest, and so many other forms of inspiration and places we can compare ourselves as artists it's sometimes hard to just let go, and create. With this session and really all my sessions lately I have been trying to focus more on the moment, the subject and the area around me in using it and shooting in unique ways rather then recreating things I've seen others do.

We will probably be doing a part 2 of this session in a few weeks that I can't wait to see what we come up with! For now, here is part one.

And one dramatic/moody edit, yes? No?
