Tuesday Tips

Welcome to my first Tuesday Tips!

Every Tuesday I will be sharing tips for both clients and photographers ranging from lighting and posing tips to editing and product tips.

For our first Tuesday Tips we will be talking about....

Tips in clothing choice

The clothes you choose for your session can really make or break your session. As a client, make sure you put a reasonable amount of thought into the outfits before your session. I have also heard that it's recommended to take a photo of yourself in the outfit before the session to make sure you like how the outfit looks on camera. And if you are willing to take the time to do that, do it! It's a great idea.

I always recommend clients to bring at least 2 different outfits, one causal, one semi formal. It's also good to brings items that you can easily switch out to add variety, shoes, hats, scarves, jackets, sweaters, headbands, that way the look is being changed, but you are not necessarily taking the time changing your entire outfit.

If a client is not sure what to wear for a session, I advise to bring all of their favorites or the ones they are considering and I can help them choose at the session.

When it comes to colors I recommend to not focus on being dress in all one color, all white, all black, and think more of a color pallet based around at least 3 different colors;

 Just some possible examples....

Below are some outfits I have put together for each member of a family of four -- all of these clothing items are from Old Navy, so very affordable.

Simple, cute and casual!
